Many of the members on the Bay to Sky team have worked for Nat Bosa on many of his projects and all agree he is one of the finest builders in Southern California. Bosa transformed the historic Station B building – once used as the SDGE headquarters into downtown’s tallest residential tower. While preserving the rich neoclassical and Art Deco architecture, Bosa constructed a 43-story high-rise tower within the historic surroundings, enabling residents to explore past traditions while living in modern luxury. Electra condos feature the following amenities: hardwood flooring; nine foot ceilings; customized French doors; electric fireplaces with slab granite surround and wood grain mantlepiece; expansive full-height windows that draw in harbor views; full size stacked laundry; contemporary European-style wood veneer cabinetry; polished, slab granite countertops; and premium stainless steel appliances.
History of the Station B Building:Station B is one of San Diego's true architectural treasures. Composed of six individual structures, the original two buildings were designed by architect Eugene Hoffman in 1911 in the classical revival style. The two buildings housed boilers and turbines to serve the San Diego Electrical Railway company, a concern owned by John D. Spreckles, well known businessman, developer and sugar magnate. With changing times and the city's growing population, the San Diego Gas and Electric Company purchased the property and commissioned architect William Templeton Johnson to expand the facility. A third building was added in the northeast corner at Kettner Boulevard to provide for the city's increasing energy needs. Further expansion took place with a new addition by Johnson in 1939. Two other buildings were also added in 1938 and 1941 by architects who are, unfortunately unknown. As a preeminant example of neoclassical and Art Deco architecture, Station B was eventually designated a historical landmark in 1998 and remains one of the city's signature heritage buildings today
